This week the Construction Leadership Council published its Construct Zero Performance Framework. The framework sets out headline commitments for carbon reduction at a sector level, along with a series of measures and metrics to show how progress is being made.
We support the headline commitments and look forward to working with CLC and industry partners to fine-tune the metrics for the next revision of the framework, particularly in regards to adopting an Energy Use Intensity (EUI) target for net zero, new build homes (as proposed in the consultation version of the framework).
Good Homes Alliance consulted on the framework and is a Construct Zero Business Partner. GHA Chair Lynne Sullivan OBE, is a Board Member of the CLC’s sustainability work stream, the Green Construction Board and was Chair of the GCB Buildings Mission Taskgroup.
