Net Zero DeveloperS

Progressive private sector housing developers

Supporting better homes through shared learning and collaborative action

Building upon the success of our Local Authority and Housing Association Network, GHA launched a new membership type for progressive developers and housebuilders that are striving to deliver quality, net zero housing.

As with the GHA’s other networks, the main aims are to share learning and best practice, and create new guidance and case studies to facilitate the adoption of enhanced sustainability, quality, health and performance standards for new housing developments.

Members

What the network offers

In addition to standard Good Homes Alliance membership benefits, Net Zero Developer members benefit from a dedicated programme of activity focused on practical delivery, shared learning and collective influence.

Regular peer learning
Network meetings provide a trusted space for members to share learning, explore best practice and discuss real projects across new build and retrofit.

Collaborative problem solving
Members discuss common challenges and barriers, from procurement and specification to performance in-use and resident engagement. GHA helps facilitate conversations and supports the development of collaborative solutions, where possible.

Evidence, guidance and shared resources
Members can help shape new guidance, research and tools, and contribute to the growing library of resources on the GHA Knowledge Base. This includes work such as the Net Zero Planning Policy Hub and Model Employer’s Requirements and Design Brief Clauses.

Policy insight, advocacy and representation
GHA represents the network to government departments and industry bodies, including the Future Homes Hub, TCPA and UKGBC, helping ensure the experience of housing developers informs policy and sector initiatives.

Raising the profile of member work
The network supports regular press and communications activity, showcasing the achievements, leadership and innovation of member organisations.

Developing practical delivery tools
Subject to further funding and sponsorship, the network supports the development of specifications, Employer’s Requirements and new guidance to support delivery of better housing.

Access to trusted partners and expertise
Members benefit from facilitated introductions and partnerships across GHA’s wider networks and membership, including architects, consultants, product manufacturers, researchers and academics.
