Green Construction Board issues response to ‘Buildings Mission 2030’
The Green Construction Board (GCB), the sustainability workstream of the Construction Leadership Council (CLC), issued its response to the ‘2030 Buildings Mission’ on Tuesday 2nd July at an event at IET Savoy Place in London. The GCB Buildings Mission Taskgroup is being led by GHA Chair Lynne Sullivan OBE with the report sponsored by GHA Leader member BRE and the new Active Building Centre in Swansea. The report places the recommendations for 2030 in the context of the longer-term objective of Net Zero Carbon buildings and asserts that new technologies and modern construction methods already enable the 2030 energy target

GHA supports UKGBC net zero carbon framework
Good Homes Alliance is part of a task group that has inputted into a new report on net zero carbon buildings unveiled by the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) at Houses of Parliament on 30th April. It follows six months of industry engagement involving over 180 experts and stakeholders from across the built environment value chain. Five pioneering low carbon housing projects secured for Building for 2050 research
Five pioneering low carbon housing projects have signed up to be part of the Building for 2050 research project, funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). The project, launched at the Futurebuild conference in London, aims to shape future UK policy on delivering low carbon homes in England and Wales.
