This survey is part of a scoping project to help shape the future of SAP/RdSAP, in order to best support the Government policies relying on its outputs.
The project will provide a series of recommendations to the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) on what SAP/RdSAP 11 will need to model, and how, to produce reliable, pertinent and comparable energy assessments of homes in the future. It is intended to help shape the SAP/RdSAP 11 methodological development, which will be implemented alongside the Future Homes Standard.
With this survey, the project team hope to gather evidence and initial feedback to support the scoping review and emerging recommendations. All responses will be treated anonymously, and respondents will not be contacted afterwards.
The deadline for responses is Tuesday 1st December 5pm.
Important notes:
This is a project about SAP and RdSAP, not about the Building Regulations and associated guidance, nor about the wider regulatory and enforcement regime, nor the assessor and accreditation schemes.
The project is considering the impact of any suggested changes to SAP/RdSAP on EPC outputs, but not changes to EPCs themselves nor how EPC data is collected or stored.
The project is not considering the Product Characteristics DataBase (PCDB) and SAP/RdSAP Appendix Q, except where they could be directly impacted by changes to the core methodology.
This survey is run by the SAP/RdSAP 11 scoping project team which consists of Etude, CIBSE, Elementa, Levitt Bernstein, Clarion Housing Group, WSP and UCL. It is not an official survey, consultation or call for evidence by BEIS or any other government department. The outcomes of this survey will feed into the SAP/RdSAP 11 scoping study report only.
We hope you will share your comments and suggestions, and contribute to the future of SAP and RdSAP!
