The way UK energy is supplied and consumed is changing fast. Consumers and small businesses will soon be able to generate, store, share, buy and sell their energy as the government encourages the transition to a greener economy.
Through commercial and grant funded research, Energy House Laboratories at the University of Salford is helping businesses understand how effective their products and services are in lowering consumers’ carbon footprint and reducing energy bills.
The management team for the Energy House Laboratories is Professor Will Swan and Professor Richard Fitton. Will Swan is the Director of Energy House Laboratories (EHL) at the University of Salford, where he has led the energy and buildings research for more than 10 years. Richard Fitton is the Professor of Building Performance and the technical lead for the Energy House 2 project.
