Ness is an award-winning sustainability leader with more than 25 years’ experience delivering sustainable development, net-zero carbon and ESG strategies across the built environment. Currently Head of Sustainability and a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Greencore Homes, one of the UK’s leading net-zero housebuilders, she leads the business’s sustainability agenda, including corporate ESG strategy, decarbonisation pathways, impact reporting and the delivery of high-performance, net-zero-carbon homes.
Beginning her career in environmental science and sustainable planning, Ness has built a reputation as a leading expert in sustainable design, energy strategy and climate action. She has advised many of the UK’s major developers, housebuilders and local authorities, both through senior consultancy roles and as Director of her own specialist sustainability practice. Her work spans the full development lifecycle, from policy and planning through to design, construction and operational performance.
Recognised for her contribution to advancing net-zero carbon in the built environment, Ness has received industry awards for her services to sustainability and is a respected conference speaker, panellist and workshop facilitator. Her experience across the private, public and third sectors enables her to bring strategic leadership, technical excellence and stakeholder engagement skills to complex sustainability challenges.
