Paul Everall CBE has been Chief Executive of LABC since its formation in 2005. It is the representative body for the building control teams in local authorities and aims to ensure they provide an efficient, customer-friendly service to developers and other clients, and that Government and industry is fully aware of the importance of building control. Prior to that Paul was a senior civil servant. Between 1981 and 2005 he headed teams responsible for minerals planning, new towns policy, housing renewal policy and building regulations. He is a civil and traffic engineer by profession, and has a first class honours degree in mechanical sciences from Cambridge University. He is married with 3 grown-up daughters and lives in Bridport in Dorset.
