About the projects

Westmead is a shortlisted affordable housing development in Westbourne Park, Westminster, designed by Child Graddon Lewis for Westminster City Council. Replacing a redundant care home, the scheme delivers 65 high-quality affordable homes on a constrained urban site, balancing increased housing provision with the retention of mature trees and respect for its surrounding neighbourhood. The development has been designed to Passivhaus principles and achieves AECB CarbonLite certification, combining a fabric-first approach with low-carbon technologies to create energy-efficient, healthy homes. Through its thoughtful architecture, landscape-led design and commitment to sustainability, Westmead demonstrates how affordable housing can successfully support both community needs and environmental ambitions.

Harrow Road is a residential-led, mixed-use scheme for Westminster City Council. This ambitious regeneration project intrinsically focused upon placemaking and substantially enhancing the social environment for the community. Comprising of three new blocks that scale up to 16-storeys, the scheme delivers 112 genuinely affordable homes, a nursery, new community centre, canal-side café, and start-up office space.

This tour will be led by GHA members Child Graddon Lewis and Etude.
