The new Approved Document Part O, which aims to mitigate overheating in new residential buildings, will apply to all projects where building notice or full plans have not been submitted to a local authority before 15th June 2022 and will apply to all projects regardless from June 15th 2023.
Join the Good Homes Alliance and Susie Diamond, Inkling LLP, to take a critical look into the new Approved Document Part O: Overheating.
The Future Homes Hub have commissioned the GHA to write an accompanying user guide to Approved Document Part O: Overheating, ready for June 15th when the regulation goes live in England. At the forefront of knowledge on the regulation, Susie makes up part of the expert authoring team for this much needed guide, alongside Julie Godefroy and Richard Partington. Susie also co-authored the GHA overheating tool and guidance for new homes and is working on the GHA overheating tool and guidance for retrofit, which is currently in beta version, available to download here.
