Jon Bootland is Director of the Sustainable Development Foundation (SD Foundation), which works to promote a radical step change in sustainability performance of the UK built environment, with a particular focus on clients and investors. Through this work, Jon has been Director of the Good Homes Alliance (GHA) and the SHINE network for sustainable healthcare buildings, as well as Chief Executive of the Passivhaus Trust. Jon has also taken the lead on other projects on schools, existing homes and low carbon communities.
Jon has over 20 years experience in sustainability for the property and construction sectors, including previous roles at The Prince’s Foundation and CIRIA (the Construction Industry Research and Information Association) and has specific expertise in how to embed sustainability into building procurement and estate management processes. Jon is also an Associate at Forum for the Future.
