About the conference
Our 2026 conference is all about going “beyond business as usual” for both new and existing homes – in order to meet our net zero targets, but also to deliver wider health, climate resilience and societal benefits for people and places.
The event will bring together the best minds from the GHA and SEC networks, which include 70+ local authorities and housing associations, plus industry-leading professionals from academia, architect practices, tier 1 contractors, environmental consultancies, government departments, solution providers, and lots more.
Join us and over 200 delegates as we reflect on the soon to be announced Future Homes Standard and collaboratively set the agenda for the next generation of ‘Good Homes’ and places which are net zero, low embodied carbon, healthy, resilient and perform as designed.
Keynote speaker
We’re proud to be joined by our keynote speaker Peter Apps – an award-winning journalist and author known for his work on housing policy and his books on the root causes of the Grenfell Tower tragedy and London’s housing crisis.
We’ll announce the full agenda in December.
Pete Apps is a journalist and author of the books Show Me The Bodies, which covers the build up to the Grenfell Tower fire and won the Orwell prize in 2023, and Homesick: How housing broke London, which covers London’s housing crisis.
He spent 10 years writing at industry magazine Inside Housing and his work has also appeared in The Guardian, The New Statesman, The Times, The Independent and Private Eye. He appeared in the Netflix film Grenfell: Uncovered in 2025.
