The aim of our latest research project has been to develop guidance and tools to help planners and design teams identify and mitigate the risk of overheating in housing developments at an early stage.

The work has been led by a project team of Susie Diamond (Inkling), Julie Godefroy (Julie Godefroy Sustainability) and Nicola O’Connor (Mandarin Research) with support and feedback from an expert working group, the GHA team and stakeholder workshops in Bristol, and London at Futurebuild 2019.

The tool and accompanying guidance will be formally launched at an evening event on 16th July, 5-7pm at Winckworth Sherwood in London. The event will showcase the tool in detail with talks and discussion from the research project team.

The tool will be consequently be available for download from this link – goodhomes.org.uk/overheating-in-new-homes.
