The battle against overheating: why cooling has a new urgency
The recent report on climate adaptation from the Climate Change Committee warned that by 2050, an alarming 92% of buildings could be at risk of overheating. To counteract this, it said the government needs to invest in cooling in public spaces and accelerate ‘active’ cooling retrofits where occupants are vulnerable. Our panel considers the measure that this could require in practice.
