Spotlight on Damp and Mould – Shining the spotlight on the many challenges faced by both landlords and residents in dealing with Damp and Mould, and how the application of Building Pathology can assist in alleviating many of these challenges through accurate diagnosis and specification.
Baily Garner are the creators of a comprehensive Damp and Mould Toolkit. Crafted with a meticulous forensic approach, this toolkit is designed to bolster the sector by providing a comprehensive framework for identifying and resolving damp and mould-related issues. Lucy Millineux and Sonny Cook of Baily Garner, who were involved in creating the toolkit, will share some of their extensive expertise, followed by a Q&A session.

About our speakers
Lucy Millineux
Lucy joined Baily Garner as a graduate building surveyor in 2017 and joined the partnership in 2023. Lucy is a chartered building surveyor (MRICS) and programme manager for one of the building surveying programmes based in Birmingham, responsible for a team delivering a range of building surveying services across the Midlands. Lucy has worked extensively across the education and blue light sectors overseeing numerous significant refurbishment and maintenance projects, and in the residential sector working on retrofit and improvement schemes, as well as various survey programmes.
Lucy is currently a member of the Housing Forum’s Futures Network in recognition of her ongoing contribution and commitment to the industry.
Sonny Cook
Sonny joined Baily Garner in October 2018 and since then he has become a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) and Chartered Construction Manager (MCIOB).
Throughout his career, Sonny has worked predominantly in the housing section on a large variety of different projects including a high-end commercial to residential conversion, rooftop developments and estate regeneration. Sonny sits within the Building Surveying group and is one of the Major Works programme leads, specialising in major projects in the residential sector including retrofit, refurbishment and maintenance schemes.
