The Innovation Team at British Gypsum, a Good Homes Alliance Leader Member, are seeking to work with fellow GHA members to develop in-market evidence based case studies – to demonstrate commercial & brand benefits can be gained from the use of alternative materials.

Areas of development will include using alternative materials to:

  • increase the liveability, desirability, flexibility of homes: affording higher sales/rental or reducing speed of sale/tenancy.
  • demonstrate increased levels of homes owner/tenant satisfaction levels.
  • reduce ongoing repair and maintenance costs. Including minimising disruptive & void periods.
  • speed up repair work with improved levels of finish.

British Gypsum are particularly interested in working with house builders who are building for a variety of tenures; which includes councils, housing associations and private developers – including PRS developments. A good contractor relationship would be beneficial. Similarly they are also interested to work with forward thinking contractors, wanting to take innovation to their clients.

Here is an example of homeowner reactions to some recent material innovations:

It is important that the applicants have a genuine desire to ‘build better homes’. To express an interest, please contact:
